The Adidas Superstar was the first low leather basketball shoe to be made. The sneaker became known as "The Shell Toe" because of its iconic rubber toe box. It was adopted by the hip-hop culture and was embraced Run-DMC, who made it big in the late eighties. The Superstar has a history of more than 50 years being first launched in 1969, and now it returns in the popular version from the eighties.
